I write this with a heavy heart, Ive never been so disgusted with the male species in my entire life. Last night after finishing a gig at V-Bar Nightclub George I drove to Club Letrax just down the road to meet up with the rest of my friends who were having a night out and I was their lift home for the evening. As I parked the car and was approaching the club I couldnt help but notice a moment that made me incredibly angry. A girl was leaning on the boot of a car crying for help whilst her boyfriend was beating her up. No one could see it happening as it was just around the corner from the club and the music was too loud for anyone inside to hear. I immediately ran in stopped him by pushing him aggressively away from her and starting confronting and swearing at him out of anger and frustration because what he was doing to his girlfriend, yes its none of my business but this was unacceptable and it had to be stopped. He threatened me saying Hey jy jou nai wat maak jy huh? Is jy dan jars, dis my v**** meisie hai nie joune kom weg van haar af of ek moer jou ook. I stood there in front of her blocking him and shouted Take one more step closer to her and Ill knock you the f*** out along with your coward friends. Is this the way you treat your girlfriend? You claim to love her yet you beating her like this. I dont care if shes your girlfriend shes coming with me into the club right now and if you got a problem with that then step up and take a swing at me since you think youre such a tough guy then well see who comes 2nd best. He had no answer and swore at me and whilst slowly backing off and walking away with his friends as you could see he was not used to people standing up against him. As I was helping her up onto her feet so that I could get her back into the club immediately I couldnt help but notice the state of the poor girl. Her vest what she was wearing was covered with thick dark red blood and it kept pouring down her face. Her nose was busted open, lips were cut and swollen, her right eye also swollen and she was almost unconscious whilst in tears because of what she had just encountered. I could see she was relieved that I helped her even though we never knew each other and it was none of my business. I luckily found one of her friends as we got in the club and they took her to the bathroom to clean her up. Her friend asked what happened and thanked me for helping her. I told her friend that she needs to get away from that guy immediately because that isnt love and that definitely isnt the type of low life scumbag you want in your life. The men in this world need to get their act together and protect the woman in this world need our help. Whether its your business or not step up be a gentleman and help out where you can. It might not mean anything to you, but it could mean the world to the them. No woman in this world deserves to be abused like that while we sit back and do nothing about it. Whats right is right, and whats wrong is wrong and this has gone way too far. We as men must take a stand against cowards like these and send a good message to the so called men around the world that woman abuse is unacceptable. I always mind my business but when woman abuse happens like that one can not help but get involved as it is disgusting and inhumane. Theres no place in the world for men like this. To that low life excuse of the man, I hope karma has its way with you. I hope you suffer for what you did to this poor woman, thats not how you treat a woman. What you did to her sickened me to my stomach and youve made me feel embarrassed to be a male. To the girl who I helped my heart goes out to you I might not have gotten your name and got to know you. I do hope that you are safe, secure and will be well protected by your friends and family in the future and will never ever experience something like that again. To the men in this world we need to take a good look at ourselves. Yes, Im aware that not all of us are like this but we can be so much better than this and it all starts with ourselves. The woman in this world need us to fight and protect them from these kind of things. So lets start the change by looking at ourselves first, raise our standards and be the best gentleman we can be not just for the woman but for ourselves too.
