I wrote something close to this few months ago; writing it again because that is where our problems start. The heart of man is deceitful and desperately wicked, who can know it. The greatest enemy of our life is our heart. You turned in church and found that woman looking at you or just turning her face away from you. The first thing your heart tells you is that she has been looking at you out of jealousy or she wants to date you. What if her mind is far from her body that she doesnt even see you? She saw you and passed without saying hello; what if she is someone like me who doesnt see her sides when she walks? You have a new baby and there he is constantly thinking of coming to see you but havent been able to due to circumstances beyond his control? Now, your heart is doing a good job by giving you reasons why he hasnt come to see you. It was all over Facebook that you just got married and you have been watching out to see her congratulations with none coming. Sure your heart has been telling you she is an enemy of progress even when she hasnt seen the post or doesnt have much time to spend on the Internet. You call her your friend; when was the last time you called her? You are there with many negative thoughts about her when she needs your support and prayers to go through a situation. When last did you pick up the phone for a simple hi? When last did you drop a line for someone who showed you so much love and hasnt been able to show it now because of what is happening around him/her? She leaves home and your heart starts running helter-skelter telling you how many men she is going to sleep with and how many will give her a hug. Your mother-in-law goes to your pot and your heart starts telling you she has gone to check the number of meat you have in the pot but its okay if its your own mother. Your sister-in-law enters your bedroom and she is rude but your own sister sleeps on your husbands bed and drives his car; you see nothing wrong in that. Even when I remove some people from my friends list, its because I dont like them (so your heart tells you). I remove people when they go personal or become rude on my wall as I dont spare folks without civility. I also remove those with indecent pictures and videos on their wall and those who constantly come up with vulgar words. But I occasionally remove friends who I rarely communicate with just to create space for hundreds waiting and begging to be allowed to comment on my wall (tell your heart to stop playing games with you). The guy buys a new vehicle, moves into his own house and out of excitement and in thanksgiving to GOD, posts the pictures all over his wall and there you are dying and telling other evil hearts like you that he is just showing off. And so what if he is just showing off? Why cant you praise God for good things happening to others? Two people are enjoying themselves and you are bent on seeing to the end of their happiness. Must you be a demon in human form? Dont you think you are making yourself a witch/wizard even when you dont take off and land at night? He writes something and immediately your evil heart tells you that its about you even when he knows nothing about you. I so much love the song, I pray for you, you pray for me, I love you, I need you to survive. I wont harm you with words from my heart I love you, I need you to survive... This world is too big and can accommodate all of us. Your heart is your number one enemy, deal with it. Ask God for some overhauling of the heart.
