I wrote this back in 2010...God bless you America! God Bless America, it’s been through so much, It seems to be lost, and so way out of touch. Two-thousand and one, eleventh of September, The towers came down and we’ll always remember. So many lives were lost, yet heroes were born, Our nation came together and began to mourn. Our country that day started praying together, We said we’d fight back, it was now or never. But what kind of fight were we talking about? Nation against nation, and soldiers, no doubt! Our battle is much bigger, a conflict within...As Paul told the Romans, it all starts with sin. Was it really our fault? What happened that day? Did God chastise us because we wouldn’t obey? One thing’s for certain with the natural man, With the things of God we just can’t understand. We must trust in him and completely confide, Let us not question him and what he decides. Count it all joy when we fall into trials, He’ll strengthen us after we’ve suffered a while. God Bless America and draw us closer to you, It’s time for some healing after what we’ve been through. Isaiah 52:12 says God’s got our back, America wake up, let’s pick up the slack! Forget what’s behind, reach for what lies ahead, We should press toward the goal and the prize instead.
