Twinkle twinkle chiari star How I wondered what you are I googled you on the net that day For once at a loss what to say The headaches were a constant pain Walking into walls a daily thang Seeing things that werent there Then the seizures that made me stare Facial numbness, limbs tingling Voice hoarseness, and ears ringing Hiccups, photophobia Clumsiness and apnea PCPs, neurologists All the different specialists EEGs and mris Waiting in all of those lines Popping pills each night & day Wishing itd all go away On the outside, I look fine But the inside, feel like dying You took away a job I loved Into depression I was shoved Most days & nights I am alone To face these demons on my own Friends will come, & friends will go Pity on their faces show Brain surgery?-they stay away Pretending itll go away Four walls have never looked so bleak Awaiting surgery week by week But sshh! Dont talk, it makes it real! For now, ignore & lets not feel You think youve beat me down CM But I will one day rise again I might be called a zipperhead But thats ok cause youll be dead! Slurred speech, imbalance, confusion too Ill one day laugh at all of you Because youll not control my life Or cause this chiari warrior strife For now Im in Chiaris hell But Ill break free from this shell This butterfly will get her wings And fly away and sing, yes sing!
