IBADAN SOKA HORROR,The true story!!! The Ibadan dungeon horror, is not a case of ritual killings, but a clear case of negligence on the part of the Oyo State Ministry of Environment, who appointed Engr. Gbadamosi, to evacuate destitute from the streets, without adequate supervisions or monitoring. Mr Gbadamosi simply collected the destitute from the streets, kept them at the Soka building, without food or medical care and, perhaps, killed several of them to free spaces for new destitute, whilst collecting commission from the Oyo State Government, for a job well done. Chief Isiaka Bello Olupoju, a community leader in the area confirmed this much and put the number of people killed at about 120 persons. Another community leader said the residents have reported Mr Gbadamosi at the Sanyo Police Station several times, but the Police either said the place had been set aside to take care of the destitute who had become a nuisance in the city or the area didn’t fall under their jurisdiction. The complicity of the Oyo State Government in this horror is unacceptable. There is a need for a proper investigation to determine the number of people killed. Appropriate compensations must be made to their relatives. The Commissioner in charge of the Ministry of Environment may have to resign.Where theres np checks and balances Everyone is boss,why us there no proper security and healthcare put in place before moving ppl into that area,am sure many big men in town were human part customers,Still wondering why demolishin the building was the immediate action than investigation,Nigeria we hail thee jare!
