IC 1396 - the Elephant Trunk nebula. This is a faint emission nebula with a dark absorption nebula that resembles an elephant trunk in photos. 125 30-second light frames @ ISO1600, which were then stacked in Deep Sky Stacker, for a total of 1.2 hours total imaging time. Noise reduction and calibration done through stacking the light frames with 50 dark frames, 50 flat frames and 25 bias frames. Captured using a Nikon D5100 coupled to a 10 Meade LX200 f/6.3 Wide Field telescope @1600mm focal length.
