ICC CASE :A SCHEME TO DESCREDIT NEW FOUND NATIONAL COHESIVENESS After the PEV of 2007/2008 kenya was a highly divided nation on ethnic and regional boundaries. This unfortunate situation was fueled by western nations hell bent to install puppet regime. They west in cahoots with preferred leaders led a reckless campaign of exclusivity and alienation of certain groups. During the violence at least Kenyans witnessed our current president and his deputy trying to preach peace and calm the situation. The dual went on relentlessly with this noble and selfless campaign for long up to the time of election that ushered the dual into highest offices in the land. Against all odds, western machination and warning not to elect the duo, Kenyans defied that. Kenyans rewarded the duo as our national symbol of peace unity, prosperity and cohesiveness. While the duo led a peaceful and reconciliatory campaign in 2013, the western nations continued with funding one coalition to preach divisive politics and hatred. Thanks to God Kenyans chose peace, unity and cohesiveness we continue to enjoy to date. This was made possible and midwife by our newly reformed institutions; judiciary,IEBC and our new constitution. What the duos have achieved can’t be cultivated in the court rooms of ICC. Unless the ICC declares the agenda they have, it’s certainly not in the interest of Kenya. The world has changed and it’s the high time ICC undergo radical reforms to face modern global challenges. Not all matters can be resolved in courts. At a time court isn’t last resort. Kenyans under the leadership of the duo stand as the only avenue to deal with our local crisis…..ICC can only negate our gains hence not the best arbitrator for this matter.
