Weather Situation A ridge of high pressure extends along the New South Wales coast in the wake of a cold front. A high pressure centre will become established off the coast tonight, and is expected to move slowly east across the Tasman over the next few days as a trough deepens over western NSW. North to northeast winds are expected to freshen during Sunday and remain fresh to strong through Monday and Tuesday, particularly for southern and central waters. The next southerly change is likely to affect southern and central parts of the coast on Wednesday. Coffs Coast: Wooli to Smoky Cape Forecast for Sunday 21 December Winds: East to northeasterly 15 to 20 knots, reaching up to 25 knots inshore in the afternoon. Winds decreasing to about 10 knots in the late evening. Seas: Below 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 2 metres around midday. Swell: South to southeasterly 1 to 1.5 metres, tending easterly around 1 metre during the morning. Weather: Partly cloudy. 30% chance of rain. Forecast for Monday 22 December Winds: East to northeasterly about 10 knots increasing to 10 to 15 knots in the middle of the day. Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres inshore around midday. Swell: Easterly around 1 metre. Weather: Partly cloudy. Forecast for Tuesday 23 December Winds: Northeasterly about 10 knots increasing to 15 to 20 knots during the day. Seas: Below 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the afternoon.
