Retyping this letter, in part because it touched me, in part - TopicsExpress

Retyping this letter, in part because it touched me, in part because it shows why Chad Miller is such an amazing teacher and, in part, just so a certain former coworker can see the last part. :) any typos are my fault Aloha Rick, I moved away from Medina in 1996 and the greater Cleveland area in 2001. In that time, I have rearely missed home (which has a lot to do with how much I love Hawaii). However, after reading a few of your republished stories about my teammates, coaches, friends, teachers and former competitors, I realized how lucky I was go grow up and play competitive sports in Medina. Your stories reminded me of the important role my experiences on the football field and basketball court have played in shaping my identity and successes as an educator. For some reason, reading these stories also made me hungry for some On Tap wings and pasta from Dominics. Mahalo for sending me Over Time. I have been looking forward to reading it since you announced its publication on Facebook. I am currently in the process of reworking my dissertation for publication, so I completely understand how difficult of a task putting together a book is. Thanks for showing me it is possible! Lastly, I really appreciate the amount of trust you placed in me (and so many others) by sending your book prior to receiving payment. This simple gesture shows that there are still a lot of good people in this world and we should not be so quick to lose our faith in humanity. Thank you for providing us an example of what the world can and should be like. Thanks again for your dedicated efforts to Medina County athletes. It was truly a blessing playing in an area with such amazing coverage. I wish you continued success and happiness. Chad Miller
