IF ANYONE HAS INFORMATION OR SEES SOME THESE THINGS BEING SOLD....NO QUESTIONS ASKED....YOU HELP ME...YOU STAY ANONYMOUS. So...this is what I came home to in the early hours of Monday morning. Complete destruction. The three police officers and CSI detectives all told it was the worst ransacking theyve ever seen in their careers. The only way I can describe it is that it felt like the inside of my house was hit by an EF-5 tornado. I have insurance...so Ill get a lot of material stuff back (TV, camera, etc). But lost are the negatives from various media outlets that were given to me after I threw the first pitch at Wrigley in 1986....my signed 8x10 of Walter Payton that I got at his last public appearance before his passing...and the better part of my sports memorabilia collection which included signed baseballs..footballs...bricks from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Busch Stadium...and gifts given to me by Cubs players on that same day I threw out the first pitch (thankfully they missed Leon Durhams and Ron Ceys bats). Also in the wind...my collection of about 40 vintage cameras...all of which were 60+ years old....some so rare the branding on them was in foreign languages. But at least I wasnt home....I may not have been here to talk about it. Im going to post a list of whats been taken soon...maybe Ill get lucky and someone will know someone who knows something.
