IF EYES COULD SPEAK….Candy’s eyes speak to you if you know how to listen! TO BE KILLED TOMORROW (SATURDAY, 8/30/14) You can see the puzzlement in those huge eyes. Candy’s lived a rather lonely but a safe existence until her family chained her and dropped her off at the Brooklyn shelter. Candy is just 4-years old; she’s a mix of Rottweiler with pit bull and she’s a big girl of almost 70-pounds. It would be wonderful if Candy could find a loving family. She’s lived a solitary life, spending most of her time alone with only a bowl of dry kibble for company. Per owner Candy was trained as a guard dog but “failed” because she is too friendly Candy has come to not expect much from the humans who come and go about her. Once at the shelter she’s caught kennel cough and that was the signal to put her on tomorrow’s Kill List. We would be over the moon if we could find a home for Candy before tomorrow afternoon. Candy is recommended for an experienced dog handling family. What better time to adopt a homeless pet than on a long weekend? Candy is so forlorn. Please show her what the dog-human bond is all about. PLEASE HURRY…FOSTER/ADOPT CANDY!
