The majority of it is NOT about kissing, but a weird psychological reaction I didnt now - studies have shown that stress including mental stress of uncertainty is an ingredient in attachment or love and that perhaps manifestations of hatred (its polar opposite) somehow enhance love. Dogs punished by their trainers are more strongly bonded with them than those handled kindly. Weird... but might help explain battered spouse syndrome and related abusive relationships.
