ILL BE COLLECTING DONATIONS THIS FRIDAY NIGHT AT GRAFTON ST . PUB...PLEASE HELP MAKE THIS A SPECIAL MAGICAL CHRISTMAS FOR THIS LITTLE GIRL..... PLEASE READ. TO ALL MY FRIENDS, I AM WRITING THIS LETTER TO INFORM ALL MY FRIENDS, OF MY ANNUAL CHRISTMAS EVE SANTA VISIT TO A CHILD WHO IS SICK. EVERY YEAR I SEARCH FOR A CHILD AND FAMILY WHO ARE GOING THRU A HARD TIME DUE TO ILLNESS IN THE FAMILY . I PERSONALLY DRESS UP AS SANTA AND VISIT THE CHILD ON CHRISTMAS EVE NIGHT . THIS YEAR I FOUND AUBRI A 6 YEAR OLD LITTLE ANGEL. Aubri was a cute platinum blonde healthy little girl until July 27th 2011. When they had to take her to the hospital and while in the ER speaking with many drs, running more blood work, and being told the little girl had cancer. She was admitted immediately and within 2 days had platelet and blood transfusions, surgery, and her first round of chemo. She spent 9 days away from her home and family. Not too mention, a spinal and a bone marrow aspirate. For the first three months of treatment,Aubri was unable to walk. And had to be carried everywhere- the bathroom, clinic, hospital, and anywhere she wanted to go. In the 2 1/2 years of treatment, she had so many infusions of chemo and blood products, oral daily chemo, antibiotics, steroids (which made her an emotional wreck), clinic visits, port accessing, illnesses, and hospital stays. She spent the 4th of July in the hospital for an unknown illness which kept her there for over a week. She missed holidays with family because she was neutropenic (cant find anything off because her fighting cells are whiped out from chemo) or family members were sick. She was admitted into the hospital one year on Christmas Day. It broke the families heart to have to tell her that she was going back. And broke their hearts to listen to her cry that she just wanted to be with her family for Christmas. she was 4 years old and cancer took Christmas from her. She needed emergency surgery that week to remove her port because it was infected. She spent many of nights in the ER scared to death of what the drs were going to do to her. She spent hours on end at clinic getting infusion upon infusions for chemos and antibiotics. Her mom watched her smile fade for the first year. Her parents heard her beg to stop them from hurting her. They cried many tears because they couldnt help her. They did this while raising our 2 other children, both boys. They missed their parents because they was always with her. They missed her because she wasnt the same Aubri they had known. Their son, Lucas, was only 10 months old when she was diagnosed. His first birthday was quiet. No one could come over, she was still early on in her treatment. they missed James first day of kindergarten. And cried as They sat in the hospital feeling like a failure.. They tried to celebrated every milestone she had. They cheered her on and smiled when all we wanted to do was cry. She still suffers from anxiety and migraines still to this day. Their babies will never be the same. Theie children have a concept of living and dying that they shouldnt have at this young age. They ask million of questions about Aubris cancer. Questions that her parents cant always answer. This Family have been through alot of hardships and tears and I feel they should have at least one happy Christmas memory that they all could cherish . So I reach out to all my friends and family out there to help me make their Childrens Christmas wishes come true. Please give as much as you can, you can donate whats on thier Christmas list or cash donations for the more expensive items. contact me via EMAIL : [email protected] OR CALL ME AT :(516) 658-0925. ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO...... JOEY NUCCIO AKA SANTA.
