The Project is the outcome of a partnership between the Italian Institute of Culture in Addis Ababa, the Acacia Jazz Festival and the Novara Jazz Festival and was firstly performed in Italy in November 2013. This performance brings on stage three continents and three counties: Italy, Ethiopia and Mexico. Francesco Cusa, Gaia Mattiuzzi, Jennifer Cabrera and Melaku Belay create a striking merging of cultures and styles . A balance between voice and body, between sound and movement, that let the audience spellbound . Francesco Cusa is a drummer and composer. He works not only with the best Italian and international musicians but also with dancers, poets and visual performers. Gaia Mattiuzzi is a singer and improviser . She has an intense concert activity in Italy and abroad , working with Italian and international leading musicians of the jazz scene. Jennifer Cabrera is a Mexican born dancer and singer, Prima ballerina , singer and percussionist of the group Son de Cuero and Nueva Clave . Dancer and actress of the musical theater group Macalacachimba . He collaborated with various bands and musicians. Melaku Belay is an outstanding Ethiopian performer and dancer developing his style from the Ethiopian traditional dance and mixing it with elements of contemporary music and dance.
