Trust me I KNOW even when I scanned the TOP schools in LA and I WANTED to pick an UNKNOWN actor to HELP I didnt pick ONE actor from any of their classes because they were simply NOT trained in the Secrets of Correct Film acting. Sure this statement probably sounds arrogant & might hurt a lot of actors feelings who THINK they are on the right track BUT if you ARE swamped with acting roles right now you wont care what Im saying BUT if you are not securing LEAD roles in feature films then MAYBE I know something that you dont? EVEN ONLY A FEW OF MY OWN DEDICATED ACTORS WOULD BE READY FOR THS CHALLENGE - AND EVEN THE FEW NEED SHARPENING - WHY? 1. MOST lack the ON-SET experience of working in professional level feature films.2. Although they know a lot and train hard they have never been put under the pressure of putting what they have learnt into PRACTICE besides short films/bit parts and their Demo-reel scenes.3. SOME dont really work hard enough on their skills to stay sharp.4. Life gets in the way of their commitment to acting (Usually due to them being fed up with the lack of work in the Australian film industry.)5. See we ARENT just looking for ANYONE to join our film for their MONEY - What would be the POINT of making a movie that ALL actors werent good enough to balance out the cast!
