IMMEDIATE RELEASE January 10, 2015 NAACP DC Joins Reading Buddies Program at Meridian Public Charter School WASHINGTON, D.C.— Beginning on Saturday, January 10, 2015, members of the NAACP DC Branch’s Women In NAACP (WIN) Committee will join the Reading Buddies Program at Meridian Public Charter School in an effort to provide reading assistance and academic coaching to students in need of additional support. Women In NAACP (WIN) is a committee of the NAACP DC Branch, that advocates onbehalf of women and the issues that disproportionately affect both women and children. The priority of the Women In NAACP is to foster positive development of children and families within communities of color. WINs theme is Outstretched Hands and Open Hearts to Women and Children.
