IMMIGRATION RECRUITMENT EXAMINATION HOLDS TOMORROW The Minister of Interior Abba Moro has assured Nigerians who submitted online applications for recruitment into the Nigeria Immigration Service that their security would be guaranteed during the recruitment exercise. According to Daily Trust, the minister who spoke in Abuja yesterday said the examination which will be conducted tomorrow Saturday across the country. “Adequate arrangement has been made for security and effective conduct of the aptitude test,” he noted. Moro however, warned that applicants will only be admitted into centres which they had indicated in their application forms earlier. He dismissed reports that applicants have been directed to go to their respective states of origin for the test, saying it would negate the ministry’s initial decision to go online to conduct the exercise. “It is to avoid the risk of long transportations and travels, to avoid risk of spending too much on enlistment into the service,” Moro said. Meanwhile, the circular released by the Ministry of Interior on Thursday indicated that there will be no examinations in Adamawa, Yobe and Borno States due to the declaration of State of Emergency in those states. It stressed that alternative arrangements have been made for candidates from the three states to take their test in Gombe, Bauchi and Taraba states respectively.
