IMPORTANT: Good Wednesday afternoon! I wanted to reach out - TopicsExpress

IMPORTANT: Good Wednesday afternoon! I wanted to reach out to you to offer some information. FIRST: THANK YOU to everyone who has been so generous to Life Church Louisville and The Louisville Dream Center. Because of your involvement with us, we have fed and clothed thousands of people this year and have provided gifts, toys, basic needs and clothes to 104, well deserving children this Christmas. God is good and we thank Him for every opportunity that He creates for us to be a blessing! SECOND: We are grateful for the many “streams” such as I AM DIXIE HWY Catt Borden & Brian Pappaw Bailey) and Southwest Community Ministries that send us well deserving people, who need our assistance. When a need comes to us, we verify and then pass information along to the community for your assistance. Without these two entities, we would not be able to help the numbers of people that we have helped this year. THIRD: At Life Church Louisville and The Louisville Dream Center, transparency and integrity is a high priority to us. We handle each donation with great regard and through a system of many people. All donations that come into the church are processed by a team of people and deposited at PNC Bank. A financial record is kept and at the end of the year tax receipts are distributed to those who have given, as long as it was given in a marked envelope or by a check. WITH THAT IN MIND: If anyone representing Life Church Louisville, The Louisville Dream Center or Southwest Community Ministries asks for a monitory donation, please write a check, making it payable to the ministry requesting the donation, and then designate it towards whatever need you want to donate toward in the memo line. If you decide to give directly to the person in need, which is up to you, we cannot give you a receipt for it or be held accountable for it. Recently, The Louisville Dream Center came to the assistance of a family and we made a public appeal through my personal Facebook page and the I AM DIXIE HWY Facebook page. The public came through for this family in a huge way. However, someone, who is in no way connected or affiliated with the church, The Louisville Dream Center, Southwest Community Ministries, Kentucky Regional Missions or I AM DIXIE HWY. jumped in and began organizing their own effort for this family. A very small amount of money was given to this individual and now that money cannot be accounted for. As I did in my original appeal for this family, IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A MONETARY DONATION TO ONE OF OUR EFFORTS, always make it in the form of a check and make it payable to Life Church Louisville or The Louisville Dream Center. If we are working on a project with Southwest Community Ministries, we will specify that and you can also make the check payable to them. Life Church Louisville and The Louisville Dream Center, it’s staff or members or anyone officially working with us will never ask for cash donations. If someone tells you they are connected with us, or working alongside of us and they ask you for cash, DON’T GIVE IT! ALWAYS WRITE A CHECK! There are so many deserving families in our community and we want to be able to properly and proportionally help each one. That is why we encourage giving (clothes, appliances, basic needs, food or finances) to be done through a ministry, rather than directly or through a third party. Thank you for allowing me to share with you. We are in this to help others, not make a name for ourselves. It’s not about a church, a ministry or an organization, it is about doing the work of the Lord and helping people at the point of their need. Much love!
