IMPRESSIONISM I live my life as an impressionist, Not in any form - TopicsExpress

IMPRESSIONISM I live my life as an impressionist, Not in any form of art or writing. It is the way I have been created. My perception and my psyche mated I find all perceptions are exciting. I see and hear but so much will been missed. I know full well there is no guarantee That others see the same world I can see. I sometimes find when looking at some scenes, It may take time, til I recognise shapes, Lines suddenly appear to coalesce. Objects emerge from an untidy mess. Perhaps a problem with my mental tapes. I am aware a process intervenes. I have not doubt about. It’s a fact That perception is a creative act. Ambiguous pictures, we recognise. Perception fluctuates between two scenes. Or see a white man with a knife, attack. You may describe the murderer as black. It is who we are. It is in our genes. We do not always know where the truth lies The world is not made up of detailed maps. It is left up to us to fill in gaps. Selective hearing sometimes may occur. Prejudice, a highly selective view. One person feels sensations with a kiss, Sensations, which another may well miss. How do you really know that, which is true? We cannot tell how often we will err We all live our lives as impressionists. Reality often obscured by mists. __________________ The knife in the hand scene comes from a well know psychological experiment and I hope nobody takes offence
