IMPROVING EDUCATION IN ILOILO CITY The city continues to find ways and means to further improve and uplift the quality of education in Iloilo City. This was evident during the Division Management Committee Meeting (DvMANCOM) of the Division of Iloilo City Schools which was attended by Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog on March 19. As head of the Local School Board, the mayor makes education as one of his top priorities particularly in producing quality graduates in all levels. “I challenge our educators to make the appropriate interventions possible to ensure that our schools, pupils and students here become at par with the others in the region and the whole country,” Mayor Jed said. The DvMANCOM discussed the accomplishments of 2013, the upcoming graduation ceremonies, schools forms, and other issues and concerns faced by the Department of Education-Iloilo City.
