...IN WHICH I MUSE ON THE REAL TRAGEDY AND THE ACTED OUT TRAGEDY THAT OCCURRED IN ABUJA YESTERDAY!! 1.0. First of all, I must be quick to submit that I dont do politics of ethnicity! I will NEVER queue behind the myriad of people, who are bound by the illusive notion that since President Goodluck Jonathan is from the South-South, I am ethnically-bound to support his administration, even when he is not showing enough commitment to earn my support. 2.0. With the above premise established, please indulge me while I take you back to the two tragedies that occurred at the nations capital, Abuja, and how those two events clearly paints the picture of the near-hopeless situation that we are in as a country! 3.0. Yesterday morning, no fewer than 200 innocent people lost their lives in a bomb explosion that rocked a crowded park at Nyanya district in Abuja. Shortly after, instead of allowing THE MASSES WHO HAVE BECOME OUR OWN SECURITY, to mourn the departure of our compatriots in peace, the of the Peoples Democratic Party reportedly issued a statement attributing the blast to the ANNOYING OPPOSITION PARTY, the All Progressive Congress, APC. 4.0. Evening came, alas! news filtered in that the National Headquarters of the People Democratic Party has be gutted by fire. 5.0. To those who are not conversant with the dangerous dimension Political scheming has assumed in this country, the two incidents are unrelated tragedies that have befallen this country in one day. But then to people who have followed developments in this country in recent times, hardly can two events like those which occurred yesterday happen in isolation! 6.0. Let me refresh your memory, Right on the heels of the suspension of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mallam Lamido Sanusi, came the release of a shocking document authored by A CERTAIN WENDELL SIMLIN, and published in various news media allegedly fingering him as a major financier of the dreaded insurgent group, Boko Haram. Further checks however revealed that said WENDELL SIMLIN was allegedly an insider in the present government. 7.0. The thing is this, if this revelation is anything to run with, and someone on the inside could, with the alleged blessings of his sponsor(s) stoop so low in hiding behind a mask attempt such a despicable act, isnt it safe to to assume that the FIRE INCIDENT AT THE PDP HOUSE AT WADATA PLAZA A SHABBILY ACTED SCRIPT MEANT TO DISTRACT PEOPLE FROM THE GRIEF THAT CAME WITH THE REAL TRAGIC INCIDENT - THE BOMB BLAST AT NYANYA WHICH CLAIMED LIVES? 8.0. If the premise laid in 7.0 above proves to be true, then it means we have lost it as a nation! This is because a government and its affiliated organs truly committed to the well being of the masses will be too occupied with setting fool-proof modalities in motion to forestall future tragic occurrences than bothering itself (if it did) on providing failed distractions. 9.0. Just as a reminder, the Federal Government had set aside the whooping sum of 349.7 billion naira to be expended on the defence sector! Good people, that will be all for now, I rest my case!!
