IN case anyone hasnt noticed, something REALLY big and more than a decade overdue (for this generation) is happening this week and next week for our nations military and veteran caregivers. And if you really want to be honest... this big thing is decades overdue for all generations. So if or when you get tired of seeing multiple posts about it, please remember that this is a culmination of thousands who felt they didnt have a voice finally getting heard, even if it was many decades too late. People have lost their marriages, their jobs, their homes, and even their lives because their stories were never told and they never got support. I am carrying generations of caregivers with me to Washington DC. I am carrying the voices who felt mute. I am carrying the hearts and souls of many who lean on me and many others to be their voice.... so please understand that if multiple posts highlighting the RAND study, the Dole Foundation, news reports, etc. bother you, Ill be okay with you quietly exiting this space to move about your business. You have been warned that my focus of posts this week will be for a reason. A big reason.... BUT, I would hope and pray that you are not that kind of person and can deal with what needs to be shared and understood...and will continue sharing it too. I think you are ALL awesome sauce.
