INCONTINENCE=occasional incontinence, inabilty to maintain bladder control is normal in a woman says Richard J.Maccia M.D chairman Department of urology at state university of new york health science Center at Brooklyn.men has less of a problem because of mans urethra, the tube leading to urinary opening is so much longer than a womans and partly because of prostrate gland, which surround the urethra and can help pinch the urethra shut when the need arise. But incotinence can and both happen to male and female, the most common kind is URGE INCONTINENCE ,you get the urge to go the bathroom but cant get there on time maybe because it was triggered by infection or maybe you have arthritis, your feet have hard time moving as fast as your bladder.the second one is STRESS INCONTINENCE,as men and women get older the pelvic muscles, the ones you use to stop and start your urine tend to relax.this usually happens if you re a woman that have had children or man and woman that have gain weight.when you put added stress to your bladder by picking up a package, laughing or sneezing, the muscles arent strong enough to keep the opening of your urethra closed. The bladder is a muscles controlled by nerves.that is why neurologic diseases such as parkinson disease and diabetes mellitus can make you incontinent so can hyperactive muscles contraction or an abnormal growth of tissue.however one important of incontinence in men is the removal of prostrate gland due to cancer. Active excersice aimed at strengtheing your pelvic muscles can often cure mild incontinence, contract the muscles that start and stop urination 30 to 70 times, repeating the excersice twince a day, work up to 100 repeatation a day helps alot.limit of fliud intake expercially caffeine-containing liquilds such as coffee, tea, and colas while you increase the frequency of urination to 2 to 3 hours, never allow urine came knocking,go before it comes.if its infection, you need to see a Doctor for proper diagnosis. It is well.
