INDEED, WE ARE ALL RICH! I just stepped out of my house to pee a few moments ago and I had an epiphany! The thought came whole and complete, fully formed! It said We are rich! And there was I, peeing with the cool breeze caressing my balls and I couldnt but agree! The feeling was awesome! Despite the incongruous ness of it all, we are all rich no matter our immediate circumstances! Here was i peeing, standing on my own 2 legs without assistance and without a real care in the world! Despite years of driving and power biking on murderous Nigerian roads, i had no blemish or limp! Despite assassination attempts and run ins with dictators and haters, I am whole and sane just like a million others who have so much to rejoice for but prefer to focus on lack! Sure there was typically no light because the electricity providers collude with darkness but the air was cool and the night sensual as only african nights can be! I looked up into the mysterious night sky and beheld the myriad of stars blinking and winking at me from the majesty of space, that tapestry on which our universe is woven! And i realised how easily i could reach out and touch them. In that epiphanic reverie, I lost myself until a wild buzzing mosquito broke into my consciousness and made me aware of my immediate surroundings! Even now as I type this, I retain the feeling of grandeur and the feeling that to touch a star, we only have to reach out our hands and grasp one.
