**INDEPENDENT LABEL SEEKING TWO NEW BANDS/ARTISTS** Blizzard Records are an independent label based in Sevenoaks, West Kent, and we are looking to sign TWO new acts that blow us away! With a history spanning over two decades, we believe in recording our artists the right way, providing exceptional results and an EP/album that knocks your fans, old and new, off their feet. *What we are looking for*: • Bands, duos, or singer/songwriters. • All original material. • Rock, Pop, Indie or Folk (and sub-genres). Punk/Pop will be considered. No metal or similar, please. • You MUST have an organized, professional active social media presence. Two Facebook posts a month is not good enough. • You MUST be regularly gigging at music venues. I.e. Your local pub and open mic nights do not count. • A determined, professional attitude, approaching your music career seriously. • Genuinely offering something a little bit different from any other band on your circuit. • We strongly consider artists from all over the UK, and beyond, as we like to look for talent beyond our home county, but if successful, you must be able and willing to travel to Sevenoaks, Kent UK for recording sessions. *What we offer our signed artists*: We generally look to have only a handful of artists on our label, and those that we do sign, generally sign a minimum 1 year contract. In return, our acts record their next EP/album right here at our studio, completely free of charge, with no pressure to get the album done in a week etc. We take our time with our artists, and spend as long as it takes to get the record right. The results we can produce, are therefore fantastic. We pour everything into our acts, because we have chosen them, and love their music. We ensure that the record is the best it can be, unlike artists who sometimes get caught out paying a commercial studio and engineer to record their EP/album in a week, or a few sessions, and get sub-standard results. Production, engineering, and distribution is also free. Once the record is done, we digitally distribute the record worldwide to iTunes, Amazon etc, and all the time the band/artist is on our label, all sales are split 50/50. If you sell one album at £10, the label takes £5, and the band takes £5. If you sell a thousand copies at £10, the label takes £5000, and the band takes £5000 etc. We are an independent label, not a giant shark label, and we too are musicians, so we are a label supporting the signed artists we love and truly believe in. Notably, the band also keep all rights to the songs. We had a quiet year in 2014 whilst we completely rebuilt and expanded our studio, but are now ready to hit 2015 hard with a brand new artist roster, and the best set of bands & artists weve ever had!
