INDIA INDORE 50 STUDENTS OF INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT WILL GO TO FRANCE UNDER STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2014-2015 Indore : As many as 50 students of Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM-I) will go to France under a student exchange programme undertaken for the academic year 2014-15. In a first, visa interviews of the students selected for the programme were conducted at the institute itself. “IIM Indore has become an important stakeholder in offshore education and that is the reason why visa interviews were conducted at the institute itself instead of asking the students to go to Mumbai for the same,” said Caroline Schmitt, Attaché for Linguistic and Educational Cooperation of the French Embassy. She added that it’s a conscious step to strengthen the mutual relationship between the countries. Caroline declared the Campus France Pre-Departure Session was open at IIM Indore on Monday. She handed over French Government Scholarship Certificates-2014 to 3 IIM Indore students, namely, Arjun Dhawan, Divyanka Gangurde and Anirudh Mittal, rewarding their academic excellence. A presentation was made by Rashmi Arvikar, Education Advisor, Campus France Mumbai, in which she advised the students about budgeting their stay in France, adjusting to the new environment and culture and balancing their work and studies. Her presentation was followed by an interactive session of the audience with Amruta Datar, Education Advisor, Campus France Mumbai. She interacted with the participants about the options of long stay in France, renewal of student visas, working permitetc and also addressed their doubts regarding the same.
