INDIANAPOLIS - First responders saved a dog that was barely conscious from a burning apartment. During search efforts, a firefighter found a 6-year-old poodle named Mandy that was barely conscious. A paramedic administered oxygen therapy through a mask and monitored the dog for recovery. Two other medics assisted as the dog struggled to regain consciousness. The three medics started an IV line with fluids. After 20 minutes, the dog was moving and was taken to a nearby animal hospital. Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) said the Project Breathe Mask has been used by IFD since 2010 when Invisible Fence donated one to each IFD apparatus. The specialized mask is designed to specifically fit the snout of an animal. READ STORY: theindychannel/news/good-news/first-responders-save-poodle-from-burning-apartment
