INJUSTICE !!! There is so much in our country now. The guy that broke into my house 1 1/2 yrs ago and found the key to my Z71, took it from my house with all my familys belongings they took at the time inside the truck has been in jail doing county time for a bit now. He took a plea for 10 yrs TDCJ time. Well if you figure time served and good time, he might do 4-5 yrs. I ask DA why did you only charge him with the unlawful use of a motor vehicle?? Its the best case we have he said. Hmmm,,, the guy took the key out of the drawer next to fridge while he was in my house that I didnt give him permission to be in. Isnt that burglary?? He also took lots of other things including all my wifes jewelry, 2 hand guns, etc. once again isnt that burglary of a habitat? No finger prints he said, and no one seen him there. Well no shit or we wouldnt be having this discussion about how much time I think he should do. We would be discussing my civil suit for me protecting my property by killing him on the spot. This guy was a carrier criminal, and not a lot of people go looking for their stuff that was stolen as I did. All they wanted was him to get his 1st TDCJ trip so next time its inhansed next time he gets in trouble. Keep in mind this my 2nd time of a burglary on this property, and 3 other prior burglaries have taken place before we took over property that belongs to my wifes family.
