INPUT PLEEZE: Hullo friends. I recently posted an image on my blog of a SM rosary I had made that was exactly in the style of some that Id seen on the rosary sections of some Mexican SM-devoted websites. Some dude who practices mystical/folk Catholicism reblogged my image and got very legalistic on me and told me that I had better not call it a rosary because that is apparently a term explicitly used to refer to the veneration of Mary. I did some research and discovered that he was incorrect as multiple dictionaries and resource sites explain that nowadays a rosary can refer to a set of prayer beads from any religion. So now dear James and I have been in an argument with this person over the matter.....can anyone with more expertise than me confirm who is correct on the issue? I dont want to needlessly make an ass out of myself :P
