INSERTING AND EXTRACTING GOD! One of the quick fights a religious person is bound to pick with you on Facebook, is that you are attempting to remove God from people’s lives/consciousness or from society. This crime or attempt at it is often vehemently resisted by the religionist. Usually with loads of curses, abuse, bitterness, annoyance, anger, etc. It still beats me how these emotions easily find root in religious souls. As a conscious theist, I long for God to be a reality; a benevolent all powerful being, who is in control and who is everything good and powerful as he is meant to be. A God who made the Universe and not just Earth, who created billions of suns and trillions of planets, whose power is unimaginable, whose reach and strength is incomprehensible, and who is ‘Omini’-everything (omini not omni :D ). I desperately desire that such an entity of eternal love, goodness, unparalleled strength and ability exists. However, as it is, no one knows. Those of us who choose to can only believe. Some are honest enough to say they don’t know, whilst others are bold enough to say the evidence does not admit of such a being! These three sets of people (the conscious believer, the agnostic and the atheist) are not in the same class as the religionist. He insists with certainty that he knows of the existence of such a being. He has lots of evidence and the first is always his holy books. Having become so sure of this being, he goes around enforcing him/her on others and dictating the ideas that were passed down to him by people he does not know, as directly coming from this being. Many Muslims and Christians fall into this category. If the concept of an Almighty God is real, then it is the religionist that that does him the greatest disservice! The religionist persists in executing the absurd duty of inserting God into places and people and fighting his extraction or exclusion. The religionist is not different from the Jihadist! If God were all powerful, surely he will kill those he is angry with by himself, defend his own book, make his own case, and in the night speak to those who do not believe. Surely an all-powerful and all-everything God can take care of himself without your help. What if you had not been born? Please tell me, How can anyone exclude from people’s lives, one who is supposedly the very essence of life? How can anyone oppose the one who is in everything and in whom everything finds its being? How can insignificant posts on Facebook (FB posts are a million a minute) threaten an “Omini”-Everything? How can you speak for one who invented the tongue and all languages? How can you convert a soul for the one who made all souls and on whom all souls depend for life? How can you work for the one who controls all things and dictates all circumstances? How can you take one who is everywhere out of schools or anywhere and how can you insert him into places or discussions? How can you take one who makes the heart to beat out of the heart? How can you kill for the one on whom everyone hangs on for life? How can you give money to the one who made paper and ink? How can you bless the one who owns everything? How can you build for the one who inhabits no house? The religionist like the Jihadist is a fraud and a liar. It is not God he fights for, but his religion and interests. It is his religion that can be excluded, that can be inserted and that can be attacked. It is his religion that he fights to impose, not God. A truly Omnipotent God cannot be imposed or excluded by anyone!
