INSIGHTS . . . . by Mon Prena July 11, 2014 at 5:08pm NOONTIME FIRE RAZES LUCENA CITY! ***The heat of noontime was blasted with a fire that broke out in one of the eateries in the busy thoroughfare of Gomez and near the corner of Mechan streets in Lucena City, July 11, 2014. The fire razes more than ten (10) residential houses and some commercial outlets in barangay 2 of the district. An alleged drug infused Cleft lip (cheiloschisis) youngster set the blaze---. . . According to witnesses, the youth quarreled with his mother for not giving him certain amount to buy the dreaded substance (shabu), the latter got irked and burned the light materials dwelling. Chinese Volunteer Fire Brigade of Lucena City arrived on the vicinity at once and helped in putting out the blaze. Considering the speed of the raze coupled with the strong wind in the area, the fire spread to nearby residential houses and commercial establishments. BFP Fire trucks together with the Fire Trucks of Sariaya and Pagbilao all in Quezon province, helped in putting out the blaze. As observed, the Bgy. officials of Bgy 2 and 4 are all in hand in helping the victims who were surprised of the sudden raze. The fire was declared Fire Out at around 1:35 PM. ===(Mon Prena)
