INSPIRATION FOR TODAY A recent research unveiled that 60% of people who made a mark in their life and career made it in their 20’s (Even American encyclopedia reveals that 80% of millionaires in America are under 24 yrs). The research further stated that 20% of people who made a mark in their life and career made it in their 30’s while 15% made it in their 40’s and the remaining 5% made it in their 50’s and above. I don’t know your age bracket today but be certain that there is no more time to be the person you always wanted to be. The world has shifted from the information age to the social media age. The social media age has called for a new way of thinking and a new way of doing thing things. The social media age has created new jobs and occupations. Today we have millions of undergraduates reading a course they have no business with, a course that won’t be relevant to them after graduation. Today we have millions of our graduates that are roaming around the streets looking for jobs that don’t exist. The Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo Iwella recently stated that we have over 5.1 million graduates looking for work. My friend it is time you think out of the box. A female graduate has been unemployed for more than one year after her NYSC and she was advised by a consultant friend of mine that since she is good on making fashion wears why not she start making dresses and selling it online. At first she resisted but after spending further more months to look for work, she started making wears and start posting it on her Facebook page and in no time she started getting orders for wears. Her recent problem now is that she can’t meet her demands, her demands is far greater than her supplies. Friend this thing works. 100% of people who are reading this post right now are on a social media platform, of course you are on Facebook, in addition to it some are on other platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and so on. You spend so much resources e.g. time and data to be on these platforms. If you are not making money thru them, then you have to check yourself. Engage yourself positively from today; business is no longer as usual. The social media age demands that you have to take a journey inside yourself to discover who you are by discovering your interest, abilities, personalities, your workforce values and vision and build a career along that path.
