INTENTIONAL CONGRUENCE Mr Matika, Mr Vanyaza, Mr Kunene, nawe Mr Mlungu these two words – INTENTIONAL CONGRUENCE - reminds me of an event that took place a couple of years ago. I was taking my elder son to Crèche (he was 3yrs old then). I only had R1 in my pocket and along the way I gave it to him and told him to buy Niknaks when we get to the shop. My son immediately said “No Dad, I will buy Flyers and a Yoguetta” (in isiXhosa of course). The Flyers were R1.50 and the Yoguetta was R1. So, I was R1.50 short yet my son insisted that with his R1 he was GOING to buy both a Yoguetta and Flyers. We got to the shop, I requested a Yoguetta seeing that its R1 and my son immediately said “Nee flyers” (with Flyers). I told the shop assistant not to worry about Flyers but my son made the biggest noise and drama in the shop and INSISTED that he wanted both a Yoguetta and Flyers. Eventually the shop assistant gave in and said “You will give me the R1.50 when you come here the next time”. My son took his Flyers and a Yoguetta with a smile and said “Thank you!”. From that event I learn that within us we have an ability to accumulate anything that we desire when we burn all the bridges of surrender and not take no for an answer… That is my story of INTENTIONAL CONGRUENCE!
