By drawing this card, the fairies are recruiting you to become involved in environmental matters. You have the power to make a huge impact on our planet. Earth is a living, breathing being, and the fairies are calling upon you to help her. Your contributions could include recycling, picking up trash while on your nature walk, switching to environmentally friendly cleaning products, getting involved in an environmental protection group, becoming a vegetarian, or educating your children about the fragility of nature. When you spend time outdoors, mentally ask the fairies for guidance on how to make your special contributions to Mother Earth’s well-being. The fairies will give answers in the form of thoughts or feelings, by arranging a synchronistic opportunity, or by helping you use your unique talents to help educate others about environmental concerns. Nature has powerful gifts that she wants to share with you, including ideas, information, and healing energy. When you are disconnected from Mother Earth, you may feel depressed or lethargic without knowing why. Earth, too, feels distraught when you dont connect with her on a regular basis. She needs you to be amidst her beauty so that she can telegraph information to you. In this way, youll know best how to care for your planet. By drawing this card, youre being urged to spend time daily (even as little as five minutes!) outside in nature. Remove your shoes, socks, or nylons, and connect your bare feet with the soil, sod, or sand. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths as youre surrounded by the magical energy of nature. Mentally ask the fairies to help you with any issues you may have. Then, open your eyes and look for their flitting light, which is the first sign that youre seeing the fairies that surround you. I take excellent care of every living being, including myself. ~Daffodil - Breaking Free ~ Do you feel trapped in some life area? This card asks you to take the first step in freeing yourself from any unnatural restrictions. Sometimes we feel trapped by outside circumstances. For instance, we believe that financial or family obligations compel us to accept an unsatisfactory job. Or we’re afraid to leave or fix an unhealthy relationship. Perhaps we feel that our family or spouse won’t “let” us pursue life-enhancing activities, such as college classes or exercise programs. Then again, maybe we feel controlled by our addictions. The fairies urge you to call your friends for a get-together or an evening out. There is always something to celebrate, and this card asks you to do so now. Your soul longs for an exciting adventure, such as an out-of-town trip, throwing a party, or kicking up your heels and going dancing. Sometimes we procrastinate when it comes to personal time-outs, believing that such activities cost too much time and money. Yet the benefits of celebrating are many: getting a fresh perspective and new ideas, rekindling old friendships, and the sheer joy of entertaining yourself. The fairies hold celebrations regularly, sometimes on a nightly basis. They know the importance of singing and dancing as part of developing a community spirit. Please dont strain to figure out how this solution will be achieved, or in what form it will manifest. Instead, let yourself enjoy feelings of excitement and gratitude as you allow heaven to help you. Affirmation: I ask that all effects of mistakes and misunderstandings be undone, both in the past and present. ~Pineapple - Vacation ~ You need a break from routines and stressful situations. This card urges you to take time for yourself so that you can rest and renew. The fairies take regular vacations, travelling to distant fairy glens. They know and respect the value of a change of scenery. By drawing this card, you are strongly counselled to do the same for yourself. A vacation doesn’t need to take a lot of time or money. Instead, it means getting away from mundane concerns and demands. Even one night at a local hotel, leaving your cell phone at home, can be therapeutic. We become so accustomed to living in an uproar that were not aware when our body is telling us that its on overload. The symptoms include illness, unusual fatigue, depression or anxiety, appetite and weight issues, additions, sleep disorders, irritability, and a desire to withdraw from life. By drawing this card, you are being asked to honour your body and soul by spending some quiet time alone--as soon as possible. This might mean going on a silent retreat; spending the day at a lake, beach, or in the mountains; taking a hike; or visiting a day spa.
