In his new role, he will lead new business opportunities while strengthening commercial and marketing activities of the establishment, elevating the business to new heights. It is a very exciting time to be joining the first international hospitality brand in Geneva after undergoing a major refurbishment last year,” Jacky Tresch comments. Jacky brings with him over 25 years of international expertise in the luxury hospitality sector. His impressive journey started with obtaining a degree in a Hotel Management School in Strasbourg. His training began at the Strasbourg Hilton in the operational field before he decided to step into the corporate sales and marketing domain. In 1994, he progressed as the International Commercial Director of the Hospitality and Congress division of the diverse portfolio of Vivendi.The Frenchman’s unwavering pursuit and dedication saw him promoted from 2000 to 2006 at Sofitel Hotels and Resorts, first as the Worldwide Market Positioning Director and then as Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for Europe, Africa and the MiddleEast. During his tenure, he played a key role in formulating and implementing sales strategies, which opened doors to the prestigious hotel Le Richemond in Geneva. Prior to joining the InterContinental Genève, Jacky’s most recent role was as Director of Sales and Marketing and Ad-Interim Director at the five-star Royal Savoy in Lausanne, which he held for almost two years.Jurgen Baumhoff, General Manager of the InterContinental Geneva comments, “We wish Jacky a warm welcome to the team.
