INTERCONTINENTAL JORDAN HOTEL LOUNGE INAUGURATED AT QUEEN ALIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT Guests to be indulged with international standard services the moment they step into the Lounge Building on its commitment toward providing services according to International standards, InterContinental Jordan has opened its Lounge at the Arrivals terminal of the Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), H.E. Nidal Qatamin Minister of Labor, Tourism & Antiquities inaugurated the lounge in the presence of Mr. Jan Ifcic General Manager of InterContinental Jordan, Mr. Kjeld Binger CEO of Airport International Group (AIG) - the Jordanian company responsible for the rehabilitation, expansion and operation of QAIA, InterContinental Jordan’s Executive Team and other guests. The Lounge with its prime location at the arrivals terminal is exclusively designed to cater to the needs of InterContinental Jordan guests. “As Jordan’s leading hotel, InterContinental Jordan is always keen to extend the superior services to our guests even away from the hotel itself, said Mr. Jan Ifcic, InterContinental Jordan General Manager. “The lounge will be exclusive to InterContinental Jordan Guests; guests who already have a booking at the hotel and walk in guests who wish to book at InterContinental Jordan during their visit to Amman. The lounge will be attended around the clock with our meet and greet staff, who will be delighted to assist our customers with their requirements.” Commenting on the inauguration of the new Lounge, CEO of AIG Mr. Kjeld Binger, stated, “We are pleased to add InterContinental Jordan to QAIA’s growing repertoire of service providers. InterContinental Jordan’s impeccable service standards coincide with our goal to offer passengers and guests at QAIA premium services and facilities that ensure a memorable, world-class travel experience.” The 43 Square meters lounge is located at the arrivals terminal of the airport, the design is made according to InterContinental Hotels Brand standards and executed by Tareq Abdin Architecture & Interior Design. It is designed to make guests feel comfortable and relaxed after their flight journey. The colors used, the ambiance of the place and the location of the lounge were all taken into consideration to make sure that guests are receiving the best and most soothing meet and greet service. The location of the lounge was taken into consideration therefore once the guest reaches the luggage collection area; the lounge is located in a very visible spot, next to the arrival duty free section. “We have been the pioneers when we operated at Marka civil airport and at Queen Alia Airport when it first opened many years back. Now coinciding our Golden Jubilee we are walking the extra mile to be present at such a beautifully designed new airport, to be there with our guests while they experience the moment of landing in Jordan’s fascinating capital.
