INTERNAL DEMOCRACY: A pivot for party politics The internal democracy work aim, aimed at developing more democratic, transparent and effective political parties. The aim is to identify specific challenges for internal arrangement of party and party system. Area of specific focus includes, candidate election, leadership selection, policy making, membership relations, gender, minorities, youth etc. The issues are considered with the wider development context for example, the relationship to governance issue etc. Internal democracy work seeks to develop comparative knowledge via policy making. In recent years various democracies have face the problem of non democratic political parties. Our party should promote the principle of internal democracy and our elections need to be free and fair, growing intolerance and ideological cold war among our politicians angle political actors would not and should never urged well for the growth and progress of the party (our party). Therefore, there is an apparent needs for the party to give a level plying ground for all those who are interested to contest for election under the banner of All Progressive Congress (APC) should be a room to participate, within the purview of party politics and whether that candidate should loss or win election that is entirely a different ball game all together. Where these variables mentioned are lacking in a party politics this portends danger for the partys success. Its denial of justice, fair play and equity within the frame work of our parties that mostly leds to defection from one party to the other. In Borno he have been hearing people talking about incumbent especiallythe present occupant of the Borno state House of Assembly would be given an automatic ticket to contest, to me that does not urged well for internal democracy. There is need to give equal chance for all to compete, which is good for partys integrity and democracy to triumpht in the state. Any attempt to employee undemocratic means to trangulate the right of the electorate would spell doom to the chances of the party, God forbid.
