INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH CONFERENCE 2013 Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) will be hosting the International Research Conference from the 25th to 26th of July 2013, at the Rainbow Towers Hotel, in Harare, Zimbabwe. The Conference provides a platform for dialogue among academics, policy makers and other researchers with the view to exchanging information and ongoing initiatives related to the theme of the Conference: “INNOVATIONS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT” The objectives of the conference include, To present and discuss current international trends and issues on innovations for sustainable development. To present focus areas and gaps on African competencies and research on Innovations for Sustainable Development from a cross-disciplinary viewpoint and associated recommendations. To provide a forum for dialogue across stakeholders to facilitate network opportunities. The sub-themes for the International Research Conference are: Global Competitiveness Sustainable Economic Development Africanisation and Scholarship in ODL Environmental Sustainability Our Keynote Speaker is Professor Vincent Tenebe, the Vice Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria, a very prominent and seasoned academic.
