INTERNATIONALS: BRAZIL WIN BUT ENGLAND, SPAIN AND BELGIUM ARE BEATEN 20-11-2013 It was a mixed evening for those Chelsea players involved in internationals. All four of our Brazilians were involved as the hosts of next summers World Cup finals followed up their weekend win over Honduras with a 2-1 victory over Chile in Toronto. Oscar supplied the pass from which Hulk opened the scoring, and while Chile equalised midway through the second half, Robinho headed home the winner 11 minutes from time. David Luiz was the only Chelsea player to complete the full game. Oscar was replaced by Ramires in the 62nd minute, with Willian coming on at the same time at the expense of Hulk. Ashley Cole played just under an hour as England were beaten for the second time in a week at Wembley. Roy Hodgsons side, who lost 2-0 against Chile on Friday, suffered a 1-0 reverse against Germany, with Per Metersacker scoring the only goal of the game shortly before half-time. Cole was one of a handful of players replaced during the second half, with the Chelsea left-back making way for Kieran Gibbs in the 53 rd minute, while both Frank Lampard and Gary Cahill were unused substitutes. Andre Schurrle featured for the final eight minutes after replacing Marco Reus for Joachim Lows side, with the Chelsea attacker seeing a deflected strike comfortably gathered by Joe Hart soon after coming on.
