***INTERNSHIP OPP*** Job ID: 17718 Job Title: CPI Organization: ISU Organizational Learning and Performance Work Schedule: Part-time Compensation Details: $8 undergraduate; $10 Masters; $12 Doctorate Employment Start Date: 9/1/2014 Job Description: The successful CPI intern will play an important role in assisting the Organizational Learning and Performance in their pursuit of regional and nationwide research pertaining to small business development and human resource development (HRD) practices. In addition to supporting the research function, the student will support the department’s initiatives in marketing and development. The OL&P CPI experience will provide the intern with a portfolio of program and research experiences in the HRD discipline. Undergraduate and graduate students in interested in marketing, development, human resources, or small business development are strongly encouraged to apply. Learning Experience Career Path Intern can expect to obtain: (i.e. Experience in teaching, supervision, research, leadership) The successful student will meet with department faculty to customize a workplan related to their interests in marketing, human resource development, and small business development. Completing benchmarking and market research Website & programmatic material development Assist department with performance improvement strategiesParticipate in other related research activities in support of programmatic changes Qualifications: Specific Academic/Technical Skills Required: Research Writing -- Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience; using scholarly language and APA standards Complex Problem Solving -- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions Education and Training -- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects. English Language -- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Computers -- Knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint); interactive lesson materials and learning activities design software (ex: Captivate and Eluminate); online learning management system such as Moodle; online communication programs such as GoogleApps for email, document sharing, web design, electronic scheduling.
