INTERSTATE ACCUWEATHER FOR THE EASTERN ZONE... Lake effect snow will occur today into tonight across eastern portions of the UP of Michigan. Expect 3 to 6 inches of snow over this area. Western portions of the UP of Michigan as well as northern Michigan will also see lake effect snow by tonight. Expect 1 to 3 inches of snow over this area. The following major routes will be affected: In MI: I-75. Dense fog will occur this morning over far southeastern South Carolina, far southeastern Georgia, and northern and central Florida. Expect visibilities to be reduced to 1/4 mile or less. The following major routes will be affected: In SC: I-26, I-95. In GA: I-16, I-95. In FL: I-4, I-10, I-75, I-95. INTERSTATE ACCUWEATHER FOR THE CENTRAL ZONE... Periods of light snow will occur today into tonight across western Nebraska, western Kansas, and far southwestern South Dakota. Expect most areas to see 1 to 3 inches of snow, with a few areas seeing 2 to 4 inches such as far northwestern Kansas and far southwestern Nebraska. The following major routes will be affected: In SD: I-90. In KS: I-70. In NE: I-76, I-80. INTERSTATE ACCUWEATHER FOR THE WESTERN ZONE... Periods of light to briefly moderate snow will occur today into tonight over much of Wyoming, Colorado, and the Wasatch Mountains. Expect 1 to 3 inches of snow to fall over the Wasatch Mountains into western and central Wyoming. Expect higher accumulations of 2 to 4 inches across southeastern Wyoming into most of Colorado. Finally, look for 4 to 8 inches to fall across portions of the Colorado Foothills into eastern portions of the Colorado Rockies. The following major routes will be affected: In UT: I-70. In WY: I-25, I-80, I-90. In CO: I-25, I-70, I-76. Light snow will occur today across central and eastern Oregon through western Idaho. Expect 1 to 3 inches of snow over these areas. Snow will develop tonight across Donner Pass. Expect light accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. The following major routes will be affected: In OR: I-84. In ID: I-84. In CA: I-80. High winds will develop this afternoon and continue through this evening near Mojave, California. Expect northwesterly wind gusts to 55 miles per hour. The following major routes will be affected: In CA: No major routes. High winds will occur by tonight across western portions of Washington and Oregon, including the Portland. Expect easterly winds as high as 55 miles per hour by tonight over this area. The following major routes will be affected: In WA: I-5, I-90. In OR: I-5, I-84.
