INTIMACY WITH JESUS? What does that mean? Big time fans of Michael Jordan the star NBL player know almost everything about him. They follow him religiously, where he was born, where he went to school, where he lived, who he married, where he played, the team he played for, watched his every game, cheered with placards, knew his city of residence and even a house that he spent one night in went up in value just because MJ slept there. But if any of these die hard fans met him on the street and called out his name. He would stop and say Yes, Who are You? He does Not know any of them or what and how much they have done for him. He just hasnt got a clue!!! To him they are strangers. But only one person is intimate with him- his Wife! She knows him as her best friend, her husband, her lover, her childrens father and provider. She knows things about him that no one else knows... Thats intimacy!! God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are all One but have different functions operating in unity. So my question this morning - How well do you know just one OF them (not ABOUT them) and them You? Thats INTIMACY! That on that day many will say Lord, Lord in your name we cast out demons, healed the sick... and Jesus will say Get away from me, I dont know you. WHY??? God is into personal relationships and intimacy - He want Sons & Daughters not servants!!! AMEN???
