IRIS Daily Report -- Day 29 -- July 26, 2013 Operations Mode: 12 hour staffed operations Ground stations status: Green S- and X-Band status: All nominal Spacecraft status: Nominal Instrument status: Nominal Primary activities: Load new timeline Next activities: Execute timeline over the weekend ----- Friday: We held the Post Launch Acceptance Review (PLAR) today with attendance from LM, NASA Ames, NASA GSFC, and NASA HQ. The review went well and the Project received a go from all polled. We do not have to return the observatory and can leave it in orbit J This review indicates the end of Phase C/D and the transition to science operations which is Phase E. We also loaded a new 3 day science timeline that will run autonomously over the weekend Remaining calibration and science preparation work: Over the next few weeks, we will continue with a rerun of the ACS roll calibration, will load new Instrument and Spacecraft flight software, and will load and execute many science timelines as the scientists work to complete their calibrations and begin the full observing program. Thank you!! Gary Kushner
