IRISH RACING FRIDAY PREVIEWS Venue: DOWN ROYAL Date: 01 November 2013 First race: 1.05pm (seven races) Going: Yielding, good to yielding in places Tony McCoy and speedy Jezki out to stake Champion Hurdle claim in Down Royals WKD Hurdle • Tony McCoy will continue his quest for 4,000 winners at his home track of Down Royal on Friday, where he will partner JP McManuss Champion Hurdle hope Jezki in the Grade 2 WKD Hurdle • McCoy has not ridden at the Northern Ireland track since 2008, when he won the same €50,000 contest on Jezkis half-brother Jered, and will be riding the seven-time winner for the first time when tackling Fred Winter Handicap Hurdle first and second, Flaxen Flare and Caid Du Berlais in a five-runner field. • The County Antrim champion also rides Dear Boss in the Allianz Handicap Hurdle at 1.35, while fellow Northern Ireland natives Brian Hamilton and Stuart Crawford field Honey Bach and Sultana Belle against exciting mare Que Pasa in the €35,000 Grade 3 Lough Construction Mares Novice Hurdle at 2.05. • The seven-race jumps card at Down Royal on Friday begins at 1.05. It is the first of a two-day meeting featuring Irelands first Grade 1 of the season on Saturday, the JNwine Champion Chase.
