IRON RIDGE – A rottweiler that attacked and killed a 7-year-old Dodge County boy has been euthanized. Police reports received by The Reporter from the Dodge County Sheriffs Office through an open records request indicate the 3½-year-old dog named Ozzy attacked the boy when the child took the dog outside to go to the bathroom. Authorities and first responders were called to the home at W2853 Highway 67 in the town of Hustisford at about 5:20 p.m. Oct. 24 by the boys mother, Tiffany Smith. They were told the boy, Logan Meyer, had been attacked by a dog and was severely injured. Smith and her husband, Jessie Smith, the boys stepfather, moved to Dodge County earlier this month to open a protection dog training business called Platinum K9 Protection. A video of the dog that has since been removed from an online site indicates Ozzy was from Holland and the Smiths were training him for personal protection and service for a doctor in Arizona who had three children.
