.. IS THIS A CASE OF RIDERS INDIFFERENCE to CRIMES or SIMPLY POLICE INEFFICIENCY??? ... according to the Philippine National Police, there were more than 3,000 crimes committed by motorcycle riders in Metro Manila last year... is this a basis for the proposals of requiring us riders to wear the plaka-vest for easy identification, prohibit any backrider to avoid or delimit criminal activities, and have us ride with a turtle pacing of a 30kph speed limit to easily track us down and catches us up easily when they plug us down any time they want, and require us to wear a white helmet for any reason i dont know? ... we who protested against these proposals on the ground that they violate our basic human rights have been accused of being indifferent to crimes committed by motorcycle riding criminals and branded us to be hostile to policemen and other law enforces and uncooperative to their desire to fight against crimes on the streets... ... but this statistical figure of crimes perpetrated by motorcycle riding criminals can never be regarded as a scientific study that will support the feasibility of their proposal in curbing and preventing crimes... this statistical figure of of more than 3,000 crimes committed by motorcycle riders are clear REFLECTION of POLICE INEFFICIENCY... ... therefore any solution can never be passed on upon our shoulders as riders even how responsible and law abiding citizen as we are... the SOLUTION must come FIRST from the ranks of our LAW ENFORCERS... they have to SHOW their IRON FIST against these criminals, not to us riders in general, by implementing faithfully existing laws, and carry with zeal their oath of office as the PROTECTOR of the people...
