IS THIS even REMOTELY fair?? Or have I fallen off of my rocker - TopicsExpress

IS THIS even REMOTELY fair?? Or have I fallen off of my rocker completely?? Its okay if I have, you can tell me. I tend to make mountains out of mole hills, often, so I want to hear your thoughts and opinions on this matter, please!! Hopefully this all makes sense. This might be me just venting publicly... I dunno. Regardless, I want to post about this to dissuade others. Grrrrr!! Crooks, I tell ya...crooks!! Word of mouth is the best form of marketing, so I would highly discourage anyone from entering into a lease agreement with GAVISH REALTY, and heres why: Two years ago, William Cruz and I rented a duplex from them. We paid a $625.00 security deposit... No biggie... Its standard protocol. Now, both him and I have our own apartments. He lives in Tampa and I live in Brooksville---both closer to our places of employment. YAYYYYY for saving gas money!! So, prior to getting our feet wet in our old place, I created a list of EVERYTHING wrong with the apartment. I mean, I turned that place upside down on its head!! I emailed Gavish Realty the list of everything I found wrong with the place; whether it was a missing smoke alarm in a room or whether it was the paint on the wall, it was included. So, fast forward two years later, and that brings you and I to present day time---July 30th, 2014...Today, I received a letter from the rental company... It was a Notice of Intention to Impose Claim on Security Deposit. The very fact I even received the letter in the first place is a MIRACLE in and of itself. They sent the letter to our old address, even AFTER both him and I told them MULTIPLES times that we would like the letter forwarded to his new address... Still, they sent the letter to our old address. At the time, both of us thought this letter was going to contain at least a $400+ check (we knew it wouldnt contain the entire amount...Ill get to the why in a minute). After numerous phone conversations with the realty company, they STILL sent the letter to our old place, which was NO LONGER occupied by him or I, and which is currently being leased by new tenants. Point #1 to this entire rant and rave... I dont understand WHY they couldnt just send it to one of our new addresses. Neither could the post office...DONT MESS WITH MY MONEY! >>>>INSERT pissed off, disgruntled former tenant here
