IS terrorists are Sunni. Its the Sunni that Obama has announced his support for wherever they are in the government. Thus he is against the governments of Iran, Syria, and Egypt, where Sunni are not in power. The Arab spring movement has turned into a Sunni revolution to take over all Arab countries on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood to establish Turkey as the head of the new Caliphate. The IS Caliph is a temporary extreme way to make the Brotherhood seem tame, and get Assad out of Syria. The acronyms ISIS and ISIL are significant. The L stands for Levant, the old biblical term which includes Canaan. In other words, areas that today are part of Israel. ISIL includes Israeli land. ISIS (the last S=Syria) does not include Israeli land. Obama always talks of ISIL...very pleasing to the Muslims who do not recognize Israel. Media speak of ISIS, respecting Israels borders. The Levant also includes Lebanon and Jordan; small wonder those countries are increasingly anxious. The IS Sunni extremist group, formerly known as the Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIL) and the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), has been fighting the Syrian government since 2012.
