ISLAMABAD – Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Vice chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, said that meeting with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) was fruitful and we presented our all reservations that election commission need to be reformed competently. Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that our agenda to meet with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) was to present our reservations about election system. Talking to media he said that we pointed out the magnetic ink issue in front of chief election commissioner. Chief Election Commissioner ensured us to resolve the issue. He further said that it is prime responsibility of election commission to recount polls where there is doubt in results but we had to wait for 1.5 year time to open the polling bags. As democracy believes in transparent election system so CEC should be responsible figure in election procedure. On the issue of Electoral Reforms he said that couple of times we have met with election commission and we still suggest the introduction of bio metric system to make the whole procedure more accurate and transparent. Shah Mehmood highlighted the importance of bio-metric system that it is necessary to introduce. After 1977 all the elections are doubtful because of poor system of polls. Another point was also raised in his discussion that every citizen has his democratic right to see Form 14-15 and election commission should publish this from. He added that PTI is fighting for reforming the system of polls in Pakistan not for any personal interest. pakistantribe/story/25141/election-commission-need-to-be-reformed-completely-shah-mehmood-qureshi/
