IT AINT THE ECONOMY STOOPID! Migrants storm P&O Ferry. Why do these people so desperatley want to reach our shores, what dont they like about France or their first point of entry into mainland Europe? Why dont they stay there? what is it that is so attractive about the UK? That the mayor of Calais demands that WE take action, what does she suggest we do? What is this myth about immigration being good for the economy that people continue to swallow without checking the facts and, even if it is good for the economy, so what; the economy is not the be all and end all; if the economy is bad, it and the people will find a way of making it better that is what happens, AND so effin what if its good for the economy, the economy is not the be all and end all; it is not THE arbiter of quality of life, in fact we see it time and time again as the destroyer of decent life; this country especially London has no more space, fact, we are the most populous country in the whole of the european continent; the argument that everyone misses is its about quality of life which is determined significantly by space; everywhere you go theres a traffic jam. too many drivers too many cars. NHS is overrun, not enough beds; absurd super demand for housing in London with landlords happily exploiting the situation by subletting accommodation unfit for human habitation (Brent council Vanessa Feltz programme today) becasue there is such a demand, innumerable homeless; non-sensical ethnic birth rates. bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-29057709
